6th Grade - World History.
The Sixth grade will continue their study of ancient civilizations including the Harappans, the Chinese and a few North American peoples. We will be working on our writing skills along with our weekly map skills.
7th Grade - Geography.
The Seventh grade has begun their unit of the Middle East. We will be learning about the history and culture of this area along with current events. Students will also be working on mastering the location of the 50 states.
8th Grade - American History
The Eighth grade has begun their Civil War Unit. We will be using Books 5 and 6 of A History of Us along with other various trade books. Students will learn about the disagreements regarding State's Rights, the election of Abraham Lincoln, the secession of the southern states, and various battles during the war. We will also look at several key players in the war including Lincoln's many generals.
